WestLAN Networks maintain their reputation as Irelands leading structured cabling company with the winning of the contract for the installation of an advanced cabling system that forms the heart of the internal communications system at the new Aviva Stadium.
WestLAN staved off stiff competition to install the Category 6A 10 Gigabit F/FTP shielded cabling system that forms part of a large-scale project. The system is managed and installed by WestLAN on behalf of Kentz Ireland.
The structured cabling will carry all the stadium’s data and voice traffic and will also encompass areas such as turnstile monitoring, CCTV, video conferencing, wireless networking and IPTV. On completion of this project, the cabling system will be part of a hi-tech communications nerve centre that will allow for continuous monitoring of all aspects of the stadium, both inside and outside the grounds.
